- Knutsen vs. RFID – Data Trumps a False Narrative Every Time

~2012–2013 | Jay Peak RFID Fabrication and Forced Technical Testimony

Date – needs verification

– Accusation: Claims were made that bruises on my ski racer son’s legs were the result of being tied to a table and repeatedly sexually assaulted every weekend, rather than from race practice and ordinary skiing activity with me. These claims depended on false narratives about our movements and time spent at Jay Peak Resort.
– Source: Ray and associated statements about “being duct taped to a table,” “being tied up with rope,” and “repeated sexual assault” presented as factual.
– Context: Jay Peak was one of the first ski resorts to implement RFID lift passes. RFID tracking was brand-new technology at the time, pioneered at Jay Peak by the IT Director. Obviously, Ray was not counting on any objective movement data existing.
– Reality Check: Because the accusations relied on false timelines and alleged hidden activity, objective location and time data became relevant.
– Action Taken: We subpoenaed the Jay Peak IT Director to testify and to produce authenticated RFID lift-pass exports for me and Leif.
– Evidence Introduced: The IT Director testified about the RFID system and provided time/date-stamped records showing that every lift ride and resort movement was logged whenever our passes were beeped in.
– Verified Fact: The RFID records demonstrated that we were at the resort constantly. Leif was practicing with his team or skiing normally with me, with our mountain-wide movements fully accounted for. The data directly contradicted the accusations and supported the explanation that bruises were consistent with frequent skiing.
– Outcome: The objective RFID data disproved the fabricated allegations by establishing that the claimed abuse scenarios were incompatible with our documented movements.
– Key Pattern: Severe accusation fabricated → assumption that no objective records existed → neutral technical evidence subpoenaed → truth forced into the court record → no accountability for the fabrication itself → cue the next set of accusations.

– Aftermath: No apology or retraction followed. Once the RFID data disproved the allegations, additional accusations were introduced instead.
