- February 17, 2022 – Vermont Files Professional Misconduct Charges Against Veterinarian Raymond Knutsen
The Vermont Office of Professional Regulation filed a Specification of Charges against veterinarian Raymond E. Knutsen, alleging multiple violations of Vermont’s professional conduct laws based on complaints involving four animals treated between 2016 and 2020.
The State alleged that Knutsen failed to maintain adequate medical records, failed to meet accepted standards of veterinary practice, improperly supervised the administration of a rabies vaccination, and failed to exercise independent professional judgment. The filing sought disciplinary action against his veterinary license, including the possibility of suspension, revocation, or other sanctions.
The charges were allegations made by the State and initiated formal disciplinary proceedings before the Vermont Board of Veterinary Medicine.
