- May 4, 2012 – The Court Denied the First Petition. Then Came Grotesque Allegations
On May 4, 2012, Raymond Knutsen asked Rutland Family Court to issue an emergency Relief From Abuse order, claiming only that Karen Cegalis and her boyfriend posed an immediate threat to their son. The court denied his request for emergency relief.
Rather than end the matter, R and M dramatically escalated their accusations. They submitted a second handwritten affidavit accusing Karen Cegalis of repeatedly sexually abusing her own child through a series of graphic and grotesque fabricated acts involving duct tape, costumes, “tails,” drugged gummy worms, and numerous other false claims.
Raymond and Marilynn placed those allegations into the court record, under oath. Those false allegations became the foundation for years of investigations, family court proceedings, and civil litigation documented throughout this website.
